The biggest problem which you will face as a hotel manager implementing a software system is to get all of the staff properly trained in its use. If you are an established hotel with several employees of long standing service, you may well have to train people who are not even computer literate. It is important to allow enough time for this to happen, and to accept that people learn at different speeds. Making use of local library courses in the basics of computers and the Internet will go a long way towards removing the fear from those who have never used computers before.

The best way to sell employees on the use of computers is to demonstrate how they can save time and effort, and cut down on the number of mistakes made. Once people see with their own eyes how their job can be made easier by software, they are usually sold on it at that point. If you have an employee who is really reluctant to change, have them work a shift with someone who is patient, and who thoroughly understands the system. By the end of that shift, the reluctant worker should already be convinced of the merits of the new hotel management software.
